Tata group to enter Wearables Market through Yoga Smartwatch

India’s leading Steel and automotive firm Tata group is all set to step into the field of Wearables through Smartwatches.

After taking over markets like steel, automobiles, software and even FMCG products like salt and tea, Tata continues to awe us with this big leap in the world of innovation.

The company has declared they are developing wearables for factory workers and yoga practitioners. The latter caught our attention immediately!

Now people practicing this age old discipline, Yoga has a new technology to look forward to-  A smartwatch that will track breathing patterns, alertness and other metrics essential in yoga.

While yoga wearables are not unheard of with Nadi- Smart Yoga Pants and Prana- A clip on, both tracking postures and breathing patterns respectively, these are just Start-ups. Tata can easily take over the market with its brand value and consumer base.

While global companies like Fitbit and Apple have had success in their wearables in India, their very own local product is what Indians are looking forward to now.

As an Indian and a yoga enthusiast, I couldn’t be more proud of Tata group. Whether this Smartwatch is as good as other Tata products that have gained our trust over the years or not is something to look out for in the future.
